Agawam Council has established a number of endowments and special funds.
The Main Idea and Campership Endowment:
The Main Idea and Campership Endowment is intended to supplement annual fundraising to support the Camp Agawam Campership Program and the Main Idea at Camp Agawam. Incorporated within this endowment are various named funds, including:
- Elmer and Mary Bartels Campership Fund
- Governor Mason Memorial Fund
- Emily C. McCampbell Memorial Campership Fund
- Sandra Campbell Memorial Fund
The Mary W. Gregg Endowment for Leadership Enhancement:
Established in 1998 this fund provides grants to allow Agawam alumni to engage in training or other experiences that will enhance their leadership abilities, particularly with children in an outdoor setting.
The Preservation Trust:
Funds from the Preservation Trust, designated to help preserve the Agawam environment and program viability, have allowed us to purchase over 60 acres of adjacent open land, to professionally plan the future of Agawam and its governance, and to embark on a comprehensive tree planting program.
