Work at Camp

Camp Agawam counselors are dedicated, kind-hearted, and full of joy

From 7:30 AM to 9:15 PM (and often longer!) our staff work as coaches, parental figures, cheerleaders, actors, and teachers for our campers. They help campers grow beyond their comfort zones, develop lifelong skills, and experience the pure joy of being a kid. Simply put: camp counseling at Agawam is a job that has the ability to change lives. If all of this sounds appealing, you might be exactly who we’re looking for!

As a member of the Camp Agawam staff, you will meet new people from all over the world, make friendships that can last a lifetime, gain new and interesting experiences, and—most importantly—make a difference in the lives of our campers.

Our staff is mostly college-aged men and women, and well over half are either former campers or have worked at Agawam before. Several school teachers are part of our supervisory and administrative staff, and we are all well taken care of by our camp nurses. This talented group includes 45 cabin and activity counselors who work, play, and live with 4–8 campers in screened cabins and tents.

What you get from Agawam

If you are interested in making a difference in the lives of young people while also learning new skills that will help you grow and build your resumé, we invite you to apply.
